Transportation Solutions for Neighborhoods Conference

Neighborhood groups usually don’t list “better transportation” as one of their neighborhood goals — even though this affects how residents get to jobs — to the grocery store — to educational opportunities — to the services that they need — to anywhere!   And transportation includes the need for better sidewalks and the problem of bad traffic.

We don’t bring up transportation because we think we can’t do anything about it.   But we CAN!   We can understand the resources that exist.  We can learn how decisions are made about bus routes and how we can help shape MTA’s five-year plan.   We can hear about special transportation projects that are working for neighborhoods.    We can find solutions for the transportation needs of neighborhoods!

Come to the “Transportation Solutions for Neighborhoods” Conference, Saturday, Dec. 1, 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, at the Neighborhoods Resource Center (1312 – 3rd Ave N).   No cost to attend, but you must RSVP!   More details are below!   Could you forward this on to others?

Thanks!
